Based in Mexico City, DOCU is a team of architects and designers with experience across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Founded in 2021 by Valentina Sanchez (Director) and Daniel Carlson (registered US Architect; M.Arch I, Harvard GSD), the office brings over 40 years of collective experience to the table. We are not merely draftspeople; we are trained professionals who understand the rigor of the design process, the complexity of US building codes, and the reality of fixed deadlines.
Though our projects and clients span from Mexico City to New York, our primary market is Los Angeles. We are deeply familiar with the unique regulatory environment of the region, including the complexities of hillside ordinances and local zoning and building codes.
We partner directly with small offi ces to handle residential, commercial, and multifamily projects. From concept studies and pro formas, to permit sets and construction documents, we provide services that can off er continuity through every project phase.
